A Note From Orples / Marcy re Tennessee Walking Horses

I do wish there was more effective oversight on this sort of outrageous behaviour. It gives the good people of the equine world a bad name. No one I’ve ever known with TWH’s, or Saddlebreds, would have anything to do with horrific conduct like this.

My friend, Sandy boarded an X show horse and you could see the white lines from the heeled wounds where the horse’s foot had been cut so that acid could be dropped into the wound, creating the pain to cause the horse to lift his feet.  Such acts are criminal.  I don’t attend horse shows at all anymore, because of the cruelty the animals are subjected to for a few more oohs and ahhhs from the crowd, and perhaps a blue ribbon and some prize money for the owners. So sad.
